Helium Reporter 0.3b freeware description:
A super-lightweight (less than 200 KB) reporting tool for SQL Server. Helium is a front-end that provides HTML reporting capabilities based on specially constructed SQL stored procedures. Features include: * Auto-generation of reports * Automated filtering * Definable dropdown lists for filters * Column sorting * Full CSS formatting support * Export to Excel format Helium Reporter is a reporting tool created with the goal of taking the tedious work out of creating general report building. With Helium Reporter, no HTML or report design work is needed. Instead, the report is dynamically generated based on a few database records and a SQL stored procedure. Adding filters is as easy as adding parameters to your stored procedure, and adding dropdown value lists is as easy as creating a select statement to supply the values. Helium is not intended to be a full-blown Enterprise reporting tool. Instead it is a tool that can produce high quality reports with a very small amount of effort.
